Urinary tract could be infected in multiple ways.  UTI or the Urinary Tract Infection can occur in any part of the tract including the urethra, bladder, urethras, or the kidneys.  However the most common infection occurs in the urinary bladder and it is better to have some idea about how to cure bladder infection.  Ordinarily the bladder infection is known in medical terms as cystitis and it indicates that the affected bladder is inflamed.

Why do such infections occur?  Several reasons can be attributed to it.  Some people get bladder infections more than others.  Especially women get it more due the urethra being shorter and also closer to their anus. Pregnant women are easy prey while going through the menopause or while using the birth control diaphragm. Men suffering from prostrate inflammation are the other ones who suffer from bladder infections the most.

Reasons that could cause such infection are:

• Formation of stones in the kidney.
• Heterogeneous sexual life.
• Narrowing of the urethra.
• Immobility on part of one of the partners due to accident or health problems.
• Not drinking enough liquids.
• Catheterization. And
• Bowel inconsistencies.

It is not only the grown up men and women who run the risks of bladder infection.  It could affect the children as well.  While boys mostly get bladder infections during the first year of their birth the women suffer it when they are around three years old.
